Terms of Service

The house's word, in writing.

Plain terms for traveling with Summit & Stone — written the way we speak, and kept the way we keep appointments.

Reservations & Confirmation

A request from our Reserve page, or by telephone, becomes a journey when the house confirms it. Your confirmation carries a reference code — that code is your journey, on the telephone or in writing. Because one coach serves our guests, a confirmed hour is a promise both ways: we hold it for you, and we ask that you hold it with us.

Flight Delays & Waiting Time

We understand that travel plans don’t always unfold as expected. Flight delays of up to 90 minutes beyond your original scheduled pickup time are accommodated as part of our service. Should an extended delay require additional waiting time, it is billed at $100 an hour. We will always do our best to keep you informed along the way.

Your flight is watched from wheels-up — a moved flight moves us with it, and no one stands at a curb wondering.

Changes & Cancellations

Mountain plans change; tell the house as soon as you know, and we will remake the plan together. Where circumstances allow, we would far rather move your journey to another day or hour than refund it.

Measured from your scheduled pickup time:

CancelledRefund
72 hours or more before pickup95%
Between 48 and 72 hours before50%
Between 24 and 48 hours before20%
Inside 24 hours, and no-showsNo refund

Refunds return to the card that paid, less the card processing fee, which is the one part of a fare the house cannot recover on your behalf.

If your flight is cancelled or badly disrupted, telephone us straight away. Where we have the availability we will reschedule without penalty. We never want a closed pass or a cancelled flight to feel like a penalty.

Weather & the Mountains

The high country keeps its own counsel. Your Concierge-Driver may adjust timing or route when conditions ask for it — safety travels first, always. When winter closes a pass, we will tell you early, plainly, and with the best alternative already in hand.

Care of the Coach

The coach is a drawing room that happens to travel, and we keep it as one — no smoking of any kind aboard. Guests are welcome to bring what the journey calls for; we only ask that the cabin be treated as you would a fine home, and the house reserves the right to conclude a journey early where safety or the care of our guests requires it.

Privacy & Discretion

What is said aboard stays aboard. We do not discuss our guests, we do not sell or share your information, and nondisclosure agreements are honored without ceremony.

Questions, answered

Anything unclear deserves a conversation, not fine print. Call (970) 914-9368 or write reservations@thesummitandstone.com and the house will answer plainly.
